Dziś kilka słów o książce "50 MUST of Montréal" redaktorów Anie Massey i Gisèle Légaré. Książkę można bezpłatnie otrzymać w kilku miejscach w Montrealu. Chciałabym dziś napisać o kilku miejscach, które faktycznie bym poleciła.
1. Kasyno - charakteryzuje je ciekawa forma i lokalizacja. Umiejscowione jest bowiem na wyspie Notre-Dame. Według autorów książki jest to najważniejsze kasyno w całej Kanadzie. W zeszłym miesiącu zakończono prace renowacyjne tego obiektu i wygląda on bardzo nowocześnie i profesjonalnie. Mimo że nie jestem bywalczynią kasyn, polecam ze względów estetycznych :)
2. La Baie - amatorom zakupów polecam centrum handlowe, w którym znajduje się aż 580 sklepów. Budynek umiejscowiony jest na ulicy Sainte-Catherine, na której znajduje się również najdłuższy kompleks podziemnych butików.
3. Plac Jacques-Cartier - miejsce spotkań i spacerów. Polecam szczególnie latem - wtedy też pojawiają się tam artyści i sprzedawcy jedzenia. Jacques-Cartier był francuskim podróżnikiem, który odkrył Montreal w 1534 roku.
4. Chińska dzielnica (Chinatown) - warto się tam wybrać na pyszny (i tani) obiad.

Today I would like to write about the book "50 MUST of Montréal" (Anie Massey and Gisèle Légaré). You can get a free issue in few places in Montréal. I'm going to write about places I would really recommend.
1. Casino of Montreal - a very original architectural landmark that is located in an interesting and nice place - on Notre-Dame Island. According to the book, the Casino of Montreal is the most important casino in Canada. It was reconstructed lately and looks very modern and professional. I highly recommend (even though I'm not really a casino person :)).
2. The Bay - a giant department store located on Sainte-Catherine street. I recommend it to all the people who like shopping. You'll find there more than 580 stores. I also recommend visiting the underground shopping center that is located close to the Bay.
3. Place Jacques-Cartier - named after the French explorer who discovered Montreal in 1534. A major entertainment venue and meeting place, very popular during the summer. Popular among artists and performers.
4. Chinatown - I mostly recommend getting a nice, huge and cheap lunch or dinner over there.
