Zagreb - the city of million hearts part 1

Zagrzeb to stolica i największe miasto w Chorwacji. Miałam okazję mieszkać w Zagrzebiu przez rok i to miasto na zawsze pozostanie w moim sercu. Dziś o kilku miejscach, które wyjątkowo lubię w Zagrzebiu.

1. Jezioro Jarun - idealne na spacery, opalanie i na imprezy. Latem na Jarunie dzieje się dosłownie wszystko. To tam młodzi ludzie spędzają czas w ciągu dnia pijąc kawę, piwo i drinki, a wieczorem imprezują.

2. Poszukiwanie planet - przechodząc Cvjetnim Trgiem w centrum Zagrzebia nie sposób nie zauważyć złotej kuli, która raz na jakiś czas jest odmalowywana, aby zakryć podpisy wandali.

Ta kula to Słońce. Ale w Zagrzebiu znajduje się także 9 planet (w tym zdyskredytowany Pluton ;)). Planety te znajdują się w takiej odległości od Słońca, w jakiej faktycznie by się znajdowały, gdyby Słońce było wielkości przedstawionej powyżej rzeźby. Wielkość planet jest proporcjonalna do wielkości Słońca (czyli są bardzo małe i trudno je znaleźć :)). Warto się wybrać na poszukiwanie planet rowerem, ponieważ Saturn, Uran, Neptun i Pluton znajdują się bardzo daleko od centrum.

3. Dolac - targ, na którym można kupić świeże owoce, warzywa, sery i pamiątki.

4. Vincek - pyszne lody! A po deserze spacer schodkami na Gornji Grad, by zobaczyć wieżę Lotrščak z XIII wieku i najładniejszą panoramę Zagrzebia.

5. Museum of broken relationships - bardzo oryginalne muzeum, w którym zamiast typowych eksponatów znajdziecie przedmioty dnia codziennego i historie związków, które z jakichś powodów się zakończyły.

6. Sztuka uliczna - blisko dworca autobusowego można znaleźć ciekawe graffiti...

Zagreb is the capital and the biggest city in Croatia. I had an opportunity to live in that city for a year and that's why Zagreb will always have a special place in my heart. Today I would like to show you a few places that I really love in Zagreb.

1. Jarun lake - perfect for walks, tanning and partying. During the summer there's a lot going on there. During the day young people spend time drinking coffee, beer and drinks and during the night they go to the parties.

2. A hunt for planets - If you're walking on Cvjetni Trg in the city center, you'll probably see this big, round gold thing.

This is the Sun. But you can find all the 9 planets in Zagreb (even the poor Pluto)! The planets are hidden as far from the Sun as they would have been if the Sun was as big as the sculpture. Also, they are as big as they would have been if the Sun was as big as the sculpture (so the planets are really small and hard to find :)). You can find the addresses here. It's fun and I would recommend going for the hunt by bike, because the last planets are really far from the city center.

3. Dolac - the market with all sorts of fruits, vegetables, cheese and souvenirs.

4. Vincek - delicious ice-cream! And after ice-cream? A walk up the stairs to Gornji Grad to see the best panorama of Zagreb and 13th century tower.

5. Museum of broken relationships - instead of the typical "museum objects" you'll find there everyday subjects and stories about relationships that somehow ended.
